Electrostatic discharge may degrade or shorten the expected lifespan of the module. When installing the module, ensure that surfaces used to temporary place the module are grounded. Installation personnel must prevent touching the electronic components. Do not install the module while system is actively supplied by power as this may produce electrical arcs which may damage the pins, nearby electronic devices and the backplane iyself.The Allen-Bradley 1771-P7 is a stand-alone 16A AC Power Supply. Its maximum output current is 16A max at 5V DC and its output voltage is 5.06V.The 1771-P7 Power Supply is an external power supply. Before installing, set the configuration jumper on the I/O chassis to the N position. It can be attached to a panel-mounted I/O chassis by sliding it onto the left side. If mounted separately, it requires a minimum vertical distance of 6 inches. Take note to mount above or next to the chassis only, to allow convection cooling. The 1771-P7 can power one 1771-A1B, -A2B, -A3B, -A3B1, or -A4B I/O chassis when used with an adapter or programmable controller that does not have an internal power supply. It works with the PLC-5 family of processors and Mini-PLC-2 /02, /05, /16, and /17. This is not compatible with the 1771-A1, -A2, or -A4 I/O chassis. And it is not designed for parallel connection as this may result in damage due to unexpected machine operation or processor memory loss.
