The IS200VRTDH1D is a VME RTD Card manufactured by GE as part of the Mark VI series. This high-quality electronic card is specially designed for industrial applications, delivering reliable performance and advanced features for precise control and monitoring.
Technical Details
Operating Voltage: 200 V
Heat Dissipation: Efficient heat dissipation design to maintain optimal operation
Real-Time Processing: Supports real-time data processing for accurate monitoring
Inputs and Wiring
Equipped with 16 three-wire RTD inputs wired to an RTD terminal board (TRTD or DRTD).
The terminal board connects to the VME rack housing the VRTD processor board via cables with molded fittings.
RTDs are excited by the VRTD board, which receives the resulting signals. These inputs are converted into digital temperature values by the VRTD and transmitted from the VCMI to the controller through the VME backplane.
Installation
To install, power off the VME processor rack.
Insert the board and manually press the top and bottom levers into the edge connector seats.
Tighten the captive screws on the front panel’s top and bottom to secure the board.
Signal Excitation and Conversion
VRTD provides a 10 mA DC multiplexed excitation current (not continuous) to each RTD via the terminal board.
The returning signals are converted using voltage-to-frequency converters and sample counters within a VCO-type A/D converter.
Sampling occurs four times per second in normal mode and 25 times per second in fast mode, synchronized with the power system frequency.
Software and Redundancy
Supports 15 types of RTDs, with linearization performed by software in the digital signal processor.
Offers redundant RTD inputs in a triple modular redundant (TMR) configuration by distributing inputs across three VRTD boards located in R, S, and T racks.
Includes high-frequency decoupling to ground for all RTD signals.
The RTD multiplexing, combined with redundant pacemakers, ensures no loss of RTD signals in the control database even if a single cable or VRTD board fails.
