The FBM230 features four ports, each individually configurable via software for RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 standards. This versatility allows a single FBM230 to connect to multiple devices that may use different communication protocols.The FBM230, along with its associated termination assembly (TA), supports various connection types to single-ported devices, direct connections, modem connections (when using RS-232), and multidrop connections to RS-485 devices. Intrinsic safety devices can also be integrated between the TA and field devices.
