Technical FAQ

What is the function of the Viton® O-ring?
It provides sealing between the probe tip and case to prevent oil or process gas leakage from the machine interior. It is designed for differential sealing but not factory pressure-tested unless specially ordered.

Can it be used with a non-XL 3300 Proximitor?
Physical connection is possible, but calibration mismatch may cause non-linear output and exceed the ±5% accuracy specification. Using full 3300 XL system components is recommended.
