Product Description

The 177988-01 is a versatile I/O module for the Bently Nevada 3701/40 ADAPT system, providing a direct interface between field sensors and the 177896-05 processor. It supports Proximity Probes, Accelerometers, and Seismic (Velomitor) sensors, enabling comprehensive machinery protection on turbines, compressors, and high-speed rotating equipment.

Built for distributed installation, the module can be mounted close to the machine train, reducing cabling costs while ensuring high-speed vibration monitoring and System 1 software integration. Its G3-rated conformal coating makes it suitable for harsh chemical environments, and it carries hazardous area approvals including CSA, ATEX, and IECEx.

Technical FAQ

  • Why choose the Prox/Accel/Seismic design?
This universal I/O module reduces spare part inventory and simplifies field wiring for machines with diverse sensor types.

  • Does it require a separate sensor power supply?
No. It supplies required power directly to connected sensors through the field terminals.
