Product Description

The 330101-00-24-05-02-05 is a high-precision eddy current proximity sensor from the Bently Nevada 3300 XL series, designed for non-contact vibration and shaft position monitoring in high-speed rotating machinery. Its 8 mm probe tip detects the distance to conductive targets (typically AISI 4140 steel), delivering real-time data critical for machinery protection and preventing catastrophic failures.

This model features a 2.4-inch fully threaded case, providing a robust mounting profile for deep-reach applications in turbines, compressors, and gearboxes. With a 0.5 m total cable length, it is optimized for compact machine installations, minimizing excess cable inside the housing. The ClickLoc miniature coaxial connector ensures a vibration-resistant, environmentally sealed connection, maintaining signal integrity in oil- or moisture-prone environments.

Application Scenarios

  • Radial vibration monitoring in fluid-film bearings

  • Axial (thrust) position sensing in turbines, compressors, and gearboxes

  • Ideal for compact internal machine mounting where the probe connects directly to an extension cable

  • Critical for Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS) in power generation, oil & gas, and petrochemical plants

FAQ

What is the difference between a Proximity Probe and an Extension Cable?
The 330101 is the sensor with the sensing tip near the shaft. It requires a separate 330130 extension cable to connect to the Proximitor Sensor. While visually similar, the probe measures the gap, and the extension cable simply transmits the signal.

Does the 05 Agency Approval option affect performance?
No. The 05 option indicates that the probe is certified for hazardous areas (Intrinsically Safe) by CSA, ATEX, and IECEx. Its electrical sensing performance is identical to the standard version.
