Four Megatrends Shaping the Future of Energy
Energy Transition
Electrification is accelerating across industries, buildings, and homes. Nigeria aims to increase renewable energy from 10% today to 30% by 2030 and 40–55% by 2060. Meeting this demand requires more generation capacity and advanced energy solutions to drive economic transformation.
Digitization and AI
Rapid adoption of AI and digital technologies is reshaping energy management. Schneider Electric, in partnership with NVIDIA, leverages AI-powered solutions like EcoStruxure for Data Centres to reduce energy consumption, operational costs, and CO2 emissions while enhancing system efficiency.
Infrastructure Development
Modern, efficient infrastructure is critical for Nigeria’s growing population and urbanization. Investments in energy, transportation, and industrial systems are needed to support Net Zero goals by 2060 and sustainable economic growth.
Global Rebalancing
Countries are prioritizing energy sovereignty, data security, and local content. Schneider Electric combines global expertise with local impact, offering solutions that strengthen communities while advancing sustainability.
