Rockwell Automation Showcases Smart and Sustainable Innovations at CIIE 2025
Participating in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for the fifth consecutive year, Rockwell Automation has once again demonstrated its commitment to China’s industrial modernization. “Through this open platform, we’ve expanded our ecosystem and felt the strong spillover effects of cooperation,” said Steve Shi, President of Rockwell Automation China.
As a global leader in industrial automation, information, and digital transformation, Rockwell Automation reaffirmed its long-term confidence in the Chinese market, emphasizing the country’s improving business environment and open economic policies.
Empowering China’s Smart Manufacturing with Three Innovation Engines
At the 8th CIIE, Rockwell Automation focused on three innovation engines — Intelligent Digitalization, Net-Zero and Low-Carbon Development, and New Productive Forces. The company unveiled a series of new products and solutions aimed at accelerating China’s smart and green manufacturing transformation.
Among the highlights were the PointMax™ I/O Platform and the next-generation EtherNet/IP™ Cabinet Solutions, both making their global debut at the expo.
New Technologies for Efficiency and Sustainability
The PointMax™ I/O Platform combines compact modular design with high performance, improving system communication speed and flexibility. Meanwhile, the EtherNet/IP™ Cabinet Solution replaces traditional point-to-point wiring with network-based communication, significantly reducing complexity and costs.
These innovations not only enhance installation and maintenance efficiency but also contribute to energy saving and carbon reduction — aligning with Rockwell Automation’s goal of enabling smarter, greener production.
Net-Zero and Digital Twin Solutions: A Dual-Engine Approach
At the expo, Rockwell Automation showcased two major sustainability models — the Climate Lighthouse and the Zero-Carbon Smart Park.
The Climate Lighthouse integrates “standards, insights, and best practices” into a new path for intelligent and green development. The Zero-Carbon Smart Park, on the other hand, transforms industrial parks from isolated “energy islands” into carbon-neutral hubs, illustrating how digital technology enables measurable decarbonization progress.
Henkel Expands Local Innovation and Sustainability in China
Like Rockwell Automation, Henkel remains optimistic about China’s economic resilience and long-term growth. Anna, President of Henkel Greater China, said the company will continue investing in local innovation and production.
In its seventh CIIE appearance, Henkel expanded its booth to 150 square meters with the theme “Empowering Today, Co-Creating Tomorrow.” The exhibition highlighted innovations across four areas — Living Power, Technology Power, Sustainability Power, and Brand Power — showcasing cutting-edge adhesive and consumer brand technologies.
Louis Dreyfus Group Highlights Local R&D and Green Agriculture
The Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC), a global agricultural and food processing leader, made its eighth CIIE appearance this year. Chen Jiayuan, CEO of LDC North Asia, said that China’s favorable policy environment continues to fuel innovation and long-term investment confidence.
At this year’s expo, LDC’s Soyadoc brand launched four new animal nutrition product lines — super-fermented soybean meal, yeast hydrolyzed protein, plant-based fish meal protein, and Fortified phospholipids — all developed by its Shanghai R&D Center. These launches, described as “developed in China, for China,” reflect LDC’s deep integration into the local innovation ecosystem.
Driving Collaborative Innovation for a Sustainable Industrial Future
As an industrial automation professional, it’s clear that companies like Rockwell Automation, Henkel, and LDC are not just showcasing technologies — they’re shaping the blueprint for cross-industry collaboration and sustainable industrial growth. The CIIE continues to serve as a vital platform for global enterprises to connect, innovate, and drive the future of intelligent, low-carbon industry in China.
