The GE Fanuc IC200ERM002 module is a non-isolated expansion receiver module manufactured as part of the VersaMax series. This module is utilized to enhance the functionality of the VersaMax PLC or I/O output station, as well as to expand the number of modules that can be connected.
The IC200ERM002 expansion module supports a maximum capacity of 7 racks, with each rack capable of accommodating up to 8 modules. It requires installation with a power supply to provide power to all connected devices. In instances where additional power supply or power booster carrier is employed, it should be connected to the main power source on the IC200ERM002 expansion module.
Additionally, the module features three onboard LED indicators that display the operational status of the device. It can operate as both a single-ended or multi-rack VersaMax I/O expansion system. In multi-rack implementations, the total cable length cannot exceed 50 feet or 15 meters.
In single-ended systems with just one expansion rack, the cable length should not surpass 3.3 feet or 1 meter. The data transfer rate of the IC200ERM002 expansion module is 2.765 Mbps or 5 Mbps, depending on the specific implementation being used.
The module is equipped with two 26-pin D-shell expansion female ports and has two different current consumption ratings, with a backplane voltage rating of either 3.3 Volts or 5 Volts. The current consumption rating is 70 milliamps when the backplane voltage is 5 Volts, and 20 milliamps when the backplane voltage rating is 3.3 Volts.
