The IC200ETM001 connector is an expansion connector module manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation as part of the VersaMax product line. This module is designed to expand the VersaMax PLC to accommodate up to 7 additional racks, each capable of holding up to 8 I/O modules, including a field-bus communication module.
The IC200ETM001 module features a 26-pin female connector on its front side, facilitating connection to the expansion receiver module. Additionally, it includes a 16-pin male serial port connector located at the upper left corner, utilized for uploading firmware updates to the nearby Network Interface Unit (NIU) in the VersaMax PLC.
This module is equipped with 2 LEDs indicating the power status and expansion interface status, including a high-speed expansion interface. One LED signifies that the module is receiving 5 Volts DC power from the NIU or CPU. When this LED is off, it indicates disconnection from the NIU or CPU, or absence of power delivery from the CPU.
Furthermore, the IC200ETM001 expansion connector features an EXP TX LED that blinks to denote communication between the bus receiver module and the expansion transmitter. The EXP TX LED remains off when communication between the two modules is inactive.
There are two variants of the expansion receiver modules available: a non-isolated module (ERM002) and an isolated module (ERM001). The IC200ETM001 module is installed on DIN rail, attaching itself to the VersaMax CPU on the left side.
